Dry fit.

The quarter panel fits very well. This is dry fitted and ready to be liquid welded next weekend.

The tail piece was hand formed the old fashioned way with a hammer and anvil. Now all the rust is gone and I have a new galvanized quarter to glue on.

This is where I had to patch the outer wheelhouse. I cut the old rust out and welded in new galvanized metal now it is ready to be rocker guarded for protection. Note the holes where I had used sheet metal screws to hold the patch while welding. They will be covered prior to the undercoating process.

Interior

The interior parts are adding up. Good news is that they are all in great shape. I will replace the carpet with a new one from Year One and refinish the door skins. The interior will remain black but we are still not sure about the exterior color. I am still open for suggestions - Yellow, Mopar green, Crazy purple or Mopar orange?

The top comes off.

The project continues

Once the fender and door was removed it was time to take out the convert top. I had a buddy stop in to assist because it was to heavy for Justin otherwise he would have been there too.
